The Surgical Training and Research (STAR) Core at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ is located in the School of Medicine. This bioskills facility provides surgical resources to facilitate education, training, research, and innovation for School of Medicine students, the university and affiliate hospital research community, as well as industry.
Our staff can assist will all aspects of your surgical training, research, and innovation needs.
Training
Training courses and Mini-Fellowships have been conducted for General Surgery, Gastroenterology, Urology, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Ob/Gyn, Emergency Medicine, Vascular Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Cardiology and the Department of Anatomy.
Medical Students, PA Students, Interns, Residents, Fellows, Attending Physicians, Nurses and others are trained in this facility.
Research
Research projects sponsored by industry, federal and local agencies are conducted using facility resources to aid in successful completion of the project.
